WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, modify the Windows registry to start the Slide Show feature by using a lower resolution. To do this, follow these steps.
Windows Vista
| 1. | Click Start , type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. |

| 2. | Click Continue. |
||||||
| 3. | Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows Photo Gallery SlideShow |
||||||
| 4. | On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value. | ||||||
| 5. | Type WinSATScore, and then press ENTER. | ||||||
| 6. | Right-click WinSATScore, click Modify, click Decimal, type the value that you want in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Note To start the Slide Show feature by using different resolutions, type one of the following values in the Value data box, as appropriate for your situation:

| 7. | Exit Registry Editor. |
Windows XP SP2
| 1. | Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK. | ||||||
| 2. | Locate and then click the following registry key:

MORE INFORMATION
Note Video cards can run the Slide Show feature at high resolutions when they have Windows Experience Index scores of 5 or more in the Gaming and graphic-intensive programs sub-category. However, such cards may exhibit the issues that are mentioned in the Symptoms section.
