SYMPTOMS
CAUSE
| 1. | You create a mapped network drive that contains the installation files for the program. |
| 2. | You start the installation for the program. |
| 3. | You are prompted for an administrator password. |
| 4. | You type your password and then click Continue. |
In this scenario, the installation starts in the context of the administrator account. However, the network drive was not mapped for the administrator account. Therefore, the setup files can no longer be found, and the installation cannot continue.
WORKAROUND
Alternatively, log on as the local administrator of the computer, and then start the installation from the mapped network drive.
