This Windows Vista WebCast will look at the supported upgrade pathways in Microsoft Windows Vista. The WebCast will include an upgrade matrix that defines the differences between an upgrade installation and a clean installation. This session will cover both 32-bit and 64-bit upgrade pathways.

Mathew Alexander has worked in the supportability field for more than 10 years. He helps the “average user” or “Abby persona” to solve issues and finds that is a passion of his. He is currently the Supportability Program Manager for Vista Setup, Activation, and Migration tools. One of his focuses in this position is advocacy on behalf of the customer, partner, and support professional. Along with being the voice of the customer, he proactively communicates top business intelligence issues and status to our partners, service delivery, windows serviceability, and product groups.

Joshua Remigius has worked in the IT Industry for 10 years and at least 5 have been in customer support. He is currently a Partner Technical Lead for Windows Vista Setup and Windows XP. His role involves a regular interaction with support professionals and customers. He also delivers technical training to both partners and support professionals. He works closely with the supportability team and provides them with any direct feedback from customers and support professionals. Besides work, he is regularly on the Microsoft Chat rooms and Communities and blog intermittently athttp://blogs.msdn.com/joshua/ (http://blogs.msdn.com/joshua/).
