SYMPTOMS
When you use a Component Object Model (COM) add-in to change programs that are installed on a Windows Vista-based computer, the changes may take longer than you expect to be completed.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the program that is being changed by the COM add-in must communicate with a shared printer before the changes can be completed.
