SYMPTOMS

You create a shortcut (an .lnk file) to point to an executable file. However, on a computer that has Internet Explorer 7 installed, when you try to use Internet Explorer 7 to open the .lnk file, Internet Explorer 7 cannot load the target executable file.

Note This problem does not occur in Internet Explorer 6.
