SYMPTOMS
If you click outside a gadget flyout window when you try to configure a gadget in the Windows Sidebar in Windows Vista, the Windows Sidebar or the gadget may stop responding.
CAUSE
This issue may occur because of a programming error in the gadget. If the gadget flyout window does not close correctly when you click outside the window, the Windows Sidebar or the gadget may stop responding.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact the developer of the gadget that opened the flyout window.
MORE INFORMATION
This issue occurs when the beginTransition and endTransition methods are used in the code for the flyout window. Gadget developers should not use the beginTransition and endTransition methods in the flyout window code.
