SYMPTOMS
When you start Windows Vista, the Windows Security Center icon may not appear as quickly as expected in the notification area. Other icons in the notification area may appear more quickly.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if Windows Security Center currently reports about multiple services that are related to security. These services can include, but are not limited to, the following:

| • | Automatic Updates |
| • | Protection against malicious software (malware) |
| • | Other settings for user controls and for Internet Explorer |
