SYMPTOMS

On a Windows Vista-based computer, some features in Intuit QuickBooks 2006 and in earlier versions may not work as expected. For example, the Payroll Services feature may not work correctly.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur because of compatibility issues that occur when you use Intuit QuickBooks 2006 and earlier versions on a Windows Vista-based computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, upgrade to Intuit QuickBooks 2007 or to a later version.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, run QuickBooks as an administrator in compatibility mode.
