Screen goes black when you switch the screen orientation during slide show playback in Windows Vista or in Windows XP SP2

SYMPTOMS
On a tablet computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), you play a slide show in Windows Photo Gallery or in Windows Live Photo Gallery. When the slide show is playing, you use the Tablet PC Settings component in Control Panel to change the screen orientation. After you change the screen orientation, the screen goes black.
CAUSE
This problem can occur with certain hardware configurations.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, exit the slide show before you change the screen orientation, and then restart the slide show.
Note After the screen goes black, you can press ESC to restore the screen.
