SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running a Japanese version of Windows Vista, the items in the Recent Items folder on the Start menu may be unexpectedly listed in English.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if Windows Vista is deployed by using an unattended-installation answer file in which the CopyProfile option is set to True.
WORKAROUND
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. To work around this problem, delete the ProgramsCache DWord entry in the registry before you run the Sysprep tool. The ProgramsCache DWord entry resides in the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer StartPage

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the Applies to section.
