SYMPTOMS
- On a computer that is running Windows Vista, you play an audio file.
- The playback application uses Media Foundation to render the audio.
- The last part of the audio file contains distinguishable audio.
In this scenario, you may not hear the end of the audio file. For example, you may not hear the last third of a second of the audio file.

Steps to reproduce the problem
- Create a three-second spoken word audio file, and then save the file on the desktop.
- In Windows Media Player, open the file.
- Play the file to the end, and pay additional attention to the last half-second of audio.
