When you compile a project that contains the /arch:SSE(2) option and the /fp:except option in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, you receive the following error message:
Command line error D8016:’/arch:SSE2′ and ‘/fp:except’command-line options are incompatible.

RESOLUTION

The hotfix adds a new /Qsafe_fp_loads switch. Using the /Qsafe_fp_loads switch together with the /fp:precise option and the /arch:SSE2 option works the same as using the /fp:except option and the /arch:SSE2 option. You can manually add the /Qsafe_fp_loads switch. To do this, locate Additional options in the Command Line page.
