When you start a multiprocessor portable computer that runs Windows Vista, you may receive the following Stop error message:

This problem typically occurs after a driver for a third-party network adapter is installed.

•	The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
•	Not all 0x0000007E Stop error messages are caused by this problem.

To merge this hotfix into a system image, follow these steps:

1.

Use the Expand.exe tool in Windows Vista to extract the updated files from the hotfix package that has an .msu file name extension.
