SYMPTOMS

On a computer that is running Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or Windows Server 2008, you insert two USB 2.0 high-speed devices and a USB 1.1 full speed device into the same Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) controller. After you restart the computer, the USB 1.1 device disappears from the system. This problem occurs occasionally and persits until you unplug the USB 1.1 device and then plug it back in.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a timing issue prevents the status change of the USB device from being reported to the system.
