Consider the following scenario:

• You use Nuance OmniPage Professional 15.2 to scan an image.
• In OmniPage Professional, you save the document as a Word 2000 (*.rtf) file type.

  Note The scanned image is saved in the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format in the Microsoft Word 2000 file.

• You open the file in Microsoft Office Word 2007.

In this scenario, the PNG image is displayed as a black shape in the Word 2007 document.

To work around this problem, open the Word 2000 (*rtf) file in Microsoft Office Word 2003.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the Applies to section.

This problem may also occur in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007.
