A document is removed from an .xps print queue and does not print after you resume a Windows Server 2008-based computer or a Windows Vista-based computer from standby
Consider the following scenario:
| • | On a Windows Server 2008-based computer or a Windows Vista-based computer, you try to print a document to an XML Paper Specification (.xps) print queue.
Note The document does not have to be an .xps document. |
| • | The computer is put into standby. |
In this scenario, after you resume the computer from standby, the print job is removed from the print queue, and the document does not print.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, wait for the print job to print before the computer is put into standby.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the “Applies to” section.
